One-Page Resume Format for Freshers

30 Oct 2026

A one-page resume is not a small version of a two-page biography. It is a selection of your strongest evidence for one target role. Start by removing repetition, not by making the font too small.

Layout

Use a clear header, a short summary, grouped skills, two or three project entries and concise education details. Use consistent headings and spacing. Keep margins reasonable and use a readable font around 10–12 points.

What to remove first

Remove declarations, photos, unrelated school details, long soft-skill lists, repeated technology names and generic objectives. Keep the project bullet that proves a skill and delete the one that only says you participated.

Export a selectable PDF and check the page on both a phone and a desktop. The ResumePakad builder helps keep the layout consistent.

Common questions

Can a fresher have a two-page resume?

Usually one page is better. Use two pages only when you have substantial, directly relevant experience or work.

Should I reduce the font to fit?

Remove repetition and tighten wording first. Do not make the resume difficult to read.
