Technical Interview Questions for Freshers

30 Oct 2026

Technical interviews differ by role, but most freshers should revise programming fundamentals, data structures, SQL, object-oriented concepts, debugging and the projects listed on the resume.

Prepare in layers

First revise syntax, functions, collections, errors and complexity at a level you can explain. Then practise small problems without memorising only one solution. Revise SQL joins, grouping and constraints. Finally, inspect your own projects and identify decisions an interviewer may question.

Think aloud

Clarify the requirement, state assumptions, propose a simple approach, test edge cases and discuss trade-offs. If stuck, explain what you have tried. Clear reasoning is more useful than a silent guess.

Keep your resume accurate with the builder and use the checker to identify role-specific gaps.

Common questions

Are coding problems the only part of a technical interview?

No. Interviewers may also ask about fundamentals, SQL, debugging, design choices and projects.

What if I make a mistake while coding?

Explain the mistake, test the code and correct it calmly. The reasoning and recovery matter.
