MCA Fresher Resume Format and Project Tips (2026)
30 Oct 2026
MCA freshers often have both undergraduate (BCA/B.Sc) and postgraduate work to show. The trick is to highlight your strongest, most recent technical work without repeating everything.
Recommended order
- Header with links
- Technical skills (grouped)
- Projects — MCA final project first
- Internship or training, if any
- Education: MCA, then BCA/B.Sc (12th/10th only if the job asks)
- Certifications and achievements
Using your MCA project
- Explain the problem and users in one line.
- Say your exact role in a team.
- Name stack and architecture choices simply.
- Add a link or demo if possible.
Don't repeat BCA content
If your BCA project was smaller or older, keep one line or remove it. Space should go to stronger work.
Gap year or late completion
If there is a gap, a short honest note (preparation, family reasons, certification study) is better than hiding dates.

Common questions
Should MCA freshers include 10th and 12th marks?
Include them if the job post or campus drive asks; otherwise MCA and graduation are usually enough.
Is MCA treated as fresher or experienced?
Without full-time work, you are generally applying as a fresher.
Should I list BCA projects too?
Only if they are relevant and add something new beyond your MCA projects.
